Every condition under which a tradition sets a dosha aside — 86 of the 93 rules our engine implements — each with the text it comes from rather than a summary of it.
Confidence is stated, not hidden. A rule resting on a modern authority is a weaker claim than one resting on a classical text. If you are checking our work, that column is where to start.

What this reference holds
This page is a list rather than a calculator. It sets out the conditions under which each named tradition holds that a dosha should be set aside, and prints beside every one of them the text it is drawn from. None of it needs your birth details. A reader can arrive with a refusal already in hand — nadi, bhakoot, mangal — and read the exact grounds on which the tradition that refused would itself set that finding aside, next to the different grounds recognised by the traditions that did not.
The part usually left unsaid
Cancellation rules are nearly always published without attribution. A page states that mangal dosha is cancelled when both charts carry it, or that nadi dosha does not apply when the Moon signs differ, and leaves it there, as though these were clauses of one settled body of law. They are not. Each rule belongs to a particular text or panchanga, and the registries differ in what they admit. Two astrologers can compute the same dosha, agree about it completely, and still reach opposite conclusions, because one is running a registry that contains a rule the other has never accepted.
That is the more useful thing to know, because the doshas themselves are common. Same-nadi occurs in 33.3% of all 11,664 possible pairings of birth star and pada; bhakoot in 50%. These frequencies do not identify the cause of a disagreement: check inputs, scoring conventions and cancellation policy separately. Across the enumerated comparison, 56.4% of pairings trigger a tested difference or veto. That combined figure includes several kinds of difference; it does not isolate the effect of cancellations.
What a listed rule means, and what it does not
A rule appearing here means one thing: a named source states that condition. It is not an assurance that the astrologer your family consults accepts it, and it is not a claim from us that the rule protects anybody. Some rules are held by four of the five traditions tracked here, some by one alone. Where a rule is contested, it is marked contested rather than smoothed into the list. And a condition being met is a statement about two charts. It is not a statement about a marriage.
How do I know which rules my astrologer uses?
Ask, and ask for the text. The registry an astrologer runs is a choice, and a careful one can name the source for each rule they apply. If the answer is that the rule is simply well known, this page will usually tell you which lineage it is well known in.
If a cancellation applies, is the dosha gone?
The dosha is still computed and still present in the chart. What the tradition stating the rule holds is that it should not be treated as an obstacle to the match. That is a judgement made inside a tradition, and traditions that do not hold the rule reach a different judgement from the same two charts.
Why does this page not ask for my birth details?
Because it is the rulebook, not the ruling. To find out which of these conditions are actually met in two particular charts, the matching tools compute them and name each rule that fired.
